Motoguo’s FW 17 collection is a compact brief that talks about everything, yet nothing conclusive. It creates a huge crack between what is narrated and what is comprehended like a blank questionnaire. But 9, the possibilities are outlined, awaiting the audiences’ vast assumptions and perceptions.
What is unclear to their audience remains the biggest glee to them.
For this season, the duo recounts a series of fuzzy stills, documenting a plain boy’s daily manner. Set in an unspecific epoch, the vibe associates with vintage Japanese and European romanticism, manifesting his wardrobe throughout the day of his customary movements.
With much recollection of the previous archives, iconic staples and essence are summoned to commingle with botanical prints and crochets. It is as if, a form of self-entertainment by calling out to their old selves, they re-evaluate and reconcile with the past to exalt the silhouettes and details.
To cap things off, the duo collaborates with three talented individuals separately, to experiment on accessories that embody the characters of the persona. In the kookiest way ever.
